📘 Technical Documentation Specialist
🧩 About the Role
We are building Keymate, a modern IAM platform combining fine-grained access control, multi-tenant orchestration, event-driven policy enforcement, and API-level observability.
We’re looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist to help us design and maintain clear, structured, and up-to-date documentation for both internal developers and external users.
This role is not just about writing docs—it’s about understanding complex systems, structuring knowledge, and enabling engineers and customers to use our platform effectively.
✍️ What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation for:
- Admin Console modules (Policy Manager, Org Manager, Access Gateway)
- OpenFGA-based policy modeling
- Keycloak integrations, impersonation, session logic
- SDKs for Spring Boot, Quarkus, Node.js
- Event-based architecture (Kafka topics, schemas, gRPC contracts)
- Own and structure:
- Platform guides, developer guides, admin guides, DSL references
- OpenAPI / Swagger & gRPC proto documentation with examples
- Release notes and version-based change logs
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure documentation reflects architecture accurately
- Collaborate with QA and PMs to translate features into clear, user-oriented language
✅ What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience writing technical documentation for complex software systems
- Ability to understand IAM, API security, or backend architecture (not just frontend UI)
- Experience documenting:
- REST/gRPC APIs
- SDKs and CLI tools
- DSLs or policy engines
- Familiarity with tools like Swagger, Markdown, Asciidoc, Docusaurus, or similar
- Strong writing and information structuring skills
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
🌐 Nice to Have
- Understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC/ReBAC, or IAM fundamentals
- Experience with CI/CD documentation workflows (e.g., docs-as-code, Git-based publishing)
- Exposure to Keycloak, OpenFGA, OpenTelemetry, or Kafka
🤝 What We Offer
- A documentation role deeply embedded in the product engineering lifecycle
- A chance to define knowledge structure in a next-generation IAM platform
- Full async-friendly and remote-friendly culture
- Collaboration with top-tier engineers, product designers, and architects
Note: We don’t just want someone to “write docs.” We want someone who makes the product understandable—and usable—through great documentation.
